Pathfinder Pictures, established by Katie Mustard and Skip Henfling in 2023 in Amsterdam, is an international production service company uniquely positioned to cater to film and TV production needs of US content across Europe and the Middle East.

With a collective experience of over 50 years in production and studio finance Katie and Skip specialize in providing consulting services to producers, investors, and studios. Their expertise includes:

Cash Rebate - The Netherlands

As a Dutch based production company we are entitled to a 35% cash rebate on qualified expenditure in the Netherlands. Each film and series project is currently capped at 3M euro per project.

For Feature films and long form animation a minimum production budget of € 1 Mil is required as well as a minimum spend on Dutch qualifying costs of € 150K
For High End series a minimum budget of 4k up to 12K per broadcast minute (depending on the category) is required as well as a minimum spend on Dutch qualifying costs of 15% of the total budget.

Meet Skip Henfling

Skip Henfling is a seasoned financial controller and finance executive in the entertainment industry, having held key roles at major studios such as Netflix and MBC. With a focus on finance and production, Skip spent five years at Netflix, overseeing the management of local language original content in EMEA from Los Angeles and Amsterdam.

Before his corporate tenure, Skip built a robust career as a freelance Production Accountant, working across 13 countries over two decades. In his most recent role as Director of Production & Studio Finance at MBC Studios, Skip led MENA Finance teams across Dubai, Cairo, and Riyadh, facilitating the production of diverse Arabic and English language projects in the region. Currently Skip is working as a production consultant and financial controller for studio productions.

Meet Katie Mustard

Katie Mustard is an International Line Producer and Physical Production Executive with 25 years of experience in feature film and TV production, including 5 years at Netflix CEE and Turkey. Katie is fluent in English and French, and as a dual-national, has the right to work both in the EU and the USA. As a Production Exec, she has delivered 30 TV shows on schedule and on budget. As a Line Producer and UPM, she has filmed in 25 countries and managed complex multi-country co-productions, with a credit list of over 40 movies. Katie is uniquely experienced in both US and EU production practices, successfully navigating the opportunities and challenges a production faces in both emerging and established markets. She is a member of the DGA, the PGA and Women Production Society. Katie received her B.A in Cinema-Television from the University of Southern California with honors and attended TV and Film camps at Northwestern and UCLA. She is currently serving as Head of Production for LA based TV studio Amplify Pictures and as Media Guarantor’s European production executive based out Amsterdam.
